Spotlight: Larisa Oleynik
Actress Larisa Oleynik, 14, is no stranger to strange powers. On The Secret World of Alex Mack she plays a girl who can shoot electric bolts from her fingers or turn into a puddle of silvery goo.
Now Larisa's powers have moved beyond TV into cyberspace. Her character, Alex Mack, greets computer users who sign on to Nickelodeon's brand-new America Online site. "I'm really excited about being able to get messages from kids who watch Alex Mack," said Larisa. During her free time, Larisa does down-to-earth stuff: sleeping in and hanging out with her friends. Her favorite pizza topping? "Pineapple."
