The government has some tasty new advice. Eat a lot of fruits and veggies and exercise several times a week to stay fit.
On January 12, Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy G. Thompson and Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman announced changes to the food-pyramid guidelines. Thompson said it was "science-based advice to help Americans live healthier and longer lives." The tips include getting at least 30 minutes of exercise daily and choosing foods with less salt. The guidelines also recommend whole grains and dark-green vegetables.
