Snakes, beware! Python Pete is on the trail. Burmese pythons, which are native to Southeast Asia, are threatening the wildlife in Florida's Everglades National Park. Hundreds of the pythons have been dumped there by their owners. Lori Oberhofer is helping to train Pete, a seven-month-old beagle, to sniff out the reptiles. "A dog's nose is a great tool," she told TFK. "It can detect almost anything."
