A Victory at Sea

On February 7, Ellen MacArthur, 28, set a new record for sailing around the world solo. The British sailor completed the 26,000-mile journey in just over 71 days, after navigating stormy seas and sleeping only 30 minutes at a time. "It was an unbelieveable journey," said MacArthur at the end of her trip.
