In 1969, Buzz Aldrin be-came the second person ever to set foot on the moon. In his new book, Reaching for the Moon, Aldrin tells of the journey that took him into space, starting with his first trip on an airplane. His lunar-landing mission, Apollo 11, was a giant step for the U.S. space program. Aldrin, now 75, told TFK that he looks forward to "people doing on Mars what we were fortunate enough to do on the Moon."
