"Raining" Science Champs

One hundred first- and second-graders at Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez School are award-winning scientists. They won the top prize in the national Public Science Day contest in March. The Chicago, Illinois, students explored the ways that water helps their community. Juan Garcia, 8, says the project made him want to be a scientist. Studying water? No. "Dinosaur bones."
