Spotlight: Helena Bonham Carter

A pesky creature is gobbling up all of the top entries in West Wallaby's Giant Vegetable Competition, and gardeners are frantic. Helena Bonham Carter plays Lady Tottington, the host of the annual contest, in Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Lady Tottington hires an unsuccessful inventor, Wallace, and his loyal dog Gromit to save the day. How did Bonham Carter come up with her character's unique sound? "I brought in (fake) teeth, and that helped a lot with the voice," she told TFK. The movie is made with stop-motion animation. With this method, it takes about 24 tiny movements of the clay characters to create a single second of movie magic.
