Jackie Robinson was the first black baseball player in the major leagues. In 1947, Robinson was heckled during a game in Ohio. His teammate, Harold "Pee Wee" Reese, put an arm on Robinson's shoulder to show his support. That friendly gesture has been preserved in a bronze statue, unveiled last week in New York City.
