Ten-year-old Kishan from Bangalore, India, is no stranger to the big screen. He has acted in 24 movies. But now, he is trying his hand at directing. C/o [Care of] Footpath tells the story of poor children who live on the footpaths, or streets, of India. Kishan, who also wrote and stars in the film, got the idea when he met a group of homeless kids who have to choose between working or going to school. Kishan hopes his film, which opens overseas in April, will shed light on child labor and help India's poor children.
So how does the young director balance his own schoolwork with the demands of show business? "I do one week of shooting, and then one week of school," he told TIME.
