Her efforts at home and abroad have won PHEBE MEYERS, 17, of Woodstock, Vermont, a Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes. Phebe started Change the World Kids. "My goal is to inspire others to help within their community and around the world," she says. Her group has raised more than $100,000 to save Costa Rica's rain forests by selling Costa Rican coffee and holding other fund-raisers. They also do good locally by pitching in to help neighbors in need.
