Mickey Gets Fit

No more junk food for Mickey Mouse or Tinkerbell. The Walt Disney Company does not want its characters to appear on snacks that are bad for kids. So the company made new rules. A more healthful plan starts in 2008.

The rules limit sugar, fat and calories. If a cereal is full of sugar, then the cereal company can't put Nemo on the box.

Meals at Disney's U.S. theme parks are shaping up too. Kids can now get low-fat milk and applesauce or carrots instead of soda and french fries. "It was the right thing to do," says Disney boss Robert Iger.
