Meg Cabot, author of The Princess Diaries, takes on fourth grade in her new series, Allie Finkle's Rules for Girls. In Moving Day, we meet Allie, a 9-year-old with the usual problems, including a whiny best friend. Allie jots down rules to remind herself how to be a good person. Rule Number 1: Don't stick a spatula down your best friend's throat. The books are based on Cabot's younger years. "It's a traumatic time," she told TFK Kid Reporter Jennifer Foliaco. "It's when some of your friends start getting weird. You can write a lot of books about the fourth grade."
