TFK Q&A: James P. Sullivan

WHO: Top kid scarer James P. Sullivan ("Sulley")

CLAIM TO FAME: Stars in Monsters, Inc., in theaters November 2.

Q How do you scare kids?

A The simplest moves work the best, such as the basic three-step creep. But the Waternoose Jump & Growl gets 'em every time.

Q What is the most challenging part of your job?

A Maintaining high quality. After scaring hundreds of kids, it's easy to get lazy. Then you get yawns instead of screams.

Q What are monsters like behind the screams?

A Most are great and will lend you a hand—or paw, or tentacle—when you need it.

Q Do you and your friend Mike Wazowski see eye to eye?

A Mike is tough on me at work because he knows me so well.

Q Are monsters scared of anything?

A No, of course not! Well, except for kids.

Q What's a monster secret?

A The scariest thing about us is our breath. But if kids knew that, we'd be out of a job!
