Spotlight: Dream Street

Dream Street doesn't mind being called a boy band. In fact, Greg Raposo, 16, Jesse McCartney, 14, Matt Ballinger, 16, Frankie Galasso, 16, and Chris Trousdale, 16, are quite proud of the label! Unlike other boy bands, "we're actually young," says Matt. "A lot of fans can relate to us better than [they can relate to] 30-year-olds!"

The guys became Dream Street in 1999. Their first CD came out in July. It went gold! The group is busy singing its hit "It Happens Every Time" and other tunes on the Go for It! Roadshow, a stage show that encourages kids to stay in school—and away from drugs, tobacco and gangs.
