New York City police and firefighters recently received a very special delivery—letters and drawings from Time for Kids readers!
In September, TFK asked kids to send the city's rescue workers some extra support. More than 20,000 of you responded with an outpouring of thanks and good wishes. We filled scrapbooks and posters with your letters and artwork.
Two weeks ago, TFK employees and kid reporters hit the streets. We visited 98 fire companies and 13 police stations; all had lost members on September 11. We were able to give each group a special gift.
Now, your wonderful messages are in the hands of the heroes.
