Slide into a bowl of chicken soup with rice. Sail away on Max's boat to find wild things. That's what kids are doing now at the Children's Museum of Manhattan in New York City. The museum is honoring 50 years of books by author and illustrator Maurice Sendak with a display of life-size scenes from his stories. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Sendak, 73, began drawing as a child. "Imagination is the key to life," he says. "I hope children see how much fun it is to imagine."
