Spotlight: Mandy Moore

Who says blondes have more fun? Not Mandy Moore, 17. The singer and actress, a natural blonde, dyed her hair brown for her starring role in the movie A Walk to Remember. "I had so much fun making the film," she says. "It was a growth period."

The Florida teen got her first record deal at age 14 and has been busy ever since. "I'm doing a little bit of everything," she told TFK. Moore is now filming her third movie and writing tunes for her fourth CD. This month, she was part of An American Celebration at Ford's Theater in Washington, D.C. It airs on ABC on April 12. Moore sang her hit "Cry" for an audience that included President Bush and had dinner at the White House.
