A Girls' Team Takes on the Guys

Who says hockey is a boys' game? The Blue Diamonds, a girls' hockey team in Northern California, can prove that's not true. Because there were no nearby girls' teams for them to play against, they decided to take on boys' teams! Since 1995 the Diamonds have squared off against the boys during the regular season. (They face girls' teams in the championships.) For the past two years they've won their regional competition and placed fifth in the nationals. This week the Diamonds will travel to Alaska to defend their regional title once again.
