Dear TFK...

I am glad to see that Carol Moseley Braun is running for the Democratic party's nomination for President of the United States ["The Race Is On!" 10/3]. If she wins the nomination and then the election, it will be a big step for women. Not only would she be the first woman, but she would also be the first African-American President. It would be terrific if she were given the opportunity.

Those new dairy drinks look disgusting ["The New Moo Juice," 10/3]. I would not drink one even if you paid me. I'd much rather drink a soda pop. I have no problem with milk or pop, but please do not mix them together!

Texas

I think the new milk products are a good idea. They would make our school lunch so much cooler. The new milk would be a good substitute for soda, because it has vitamins and calcium.

I counted my blessings after I read the article about Liberian kids ["Too Young to Fight," 10/3]. We take our education for granted here. I feel sorry for kids who know only war and not play.
