Found: A Distant Solar System

Stargazers have spotted the star Upsilon Andromedae from their backyards for ages. On April 15, scientists announced a new discovery about the old familiar star: it is the center of a solar system similar to ours. A planet near the star was found in 1996. Now astronomers say that at least three giant gassy planets orbit around it. It is the first multiplanet solar system, other than our own, ever found. Said astronomer Geoffrey Marcy: "This will shake up the theory of planet formation."
