Take a good look at the adorable ruffed lemur and bright frog on this page. You may never get to see these creatures in real life. According to a report released last week, humans will have to change their ways to save such animals. They are among 11,046 animals and plants on the Red List, the most complete list of the world's threatened species. The worst threats to these creatures: logging, overfishing, pollution and other habitat destruction by humans.
The updated Red List reflects years of research on thousands of species. The work was done by the World Conservation Union's Species Survival Commission, a group of 7,000 scientists.
