She's Off to a Fast Start!

Sarah Fisher has had a need for speed since age 5, when her car-racing parents introduced her to the sport. Now she's a pro with her eye on the Indianapolis 500. She qualified for the Indy Racing Northern Light Series in August 1999, becoming the youngest driver in the league's history and the only woman member who competes full time. Sarah, 20, hopes to place in the top five in an October 15 race. That would qualify her to become rookie of the year. Her No. 1 goal? "To win the Indy 500."
