I cannot imagine what life would be like without flight ["A
Century in the Sky," 12/12]. I'm glad the Wright brothers were
able to make the Flyer work. I've flown on an airplane about 15
times, and I think it's awesome! I wonder what kind of flying
machine people will make in the future.

I learned so much from reading your article about the flu
["Fighting Off the Flu," 12/12]. It's sad that people can get
sick or even die just because other people forget to wash their
hands after sneezing or coughing into them. I hope other kids
read this article so they, too, can find out how to prevent the
flu.

People should pay more attention to what they are doing to the
trees ["Will a New Law Save Trees?" 12/12]. We should do
everything we can to help prevent wild-fires. This new law gives
our trees a better chance to survive. I'm glad that President
Bush signed it.

It is amazing that Beau and Haylie were able to find a frog that
hasn't been seen for 34 years ["A Celebrated Comeback!" 12/12]! I
wonder where those frogs were hiding for all of these years.
