Spotlight: Tina Majorino

Playing Alice in a new TV-movie version of Alice in Wonderland was a big stretch for Tina Majorino. After all, her character goes from a normal-size girl to a towering giant, then back to normal size! ("Oh, dear!" as Alice would say.)

Of course, Tina's ups and downs come from special effects, not special potions, in this new Alice, which airs February 28 on NBC. The language of Wonderland was hard to learn, says Tina, who turned 14 on February 7. "None of the words connect! It's out there." Still, Alice learns an important lesson: "She realizes that some adults act more like children than she does. Especially Tweedledee and Tweedledum!"
