Is another Dole ready to run for President? Former Senator Bob Dole lost the 1996 election to Bill Clinton. Now his wife Elizabeth Dole seems set to run in 2000. Mrs. Dole has not announced she'll run, but she did drop a big hint last week as she stepped down from her job as president of the American Red Cross. "I believe there may be another way for me to serve our country," she said. Mrs. Dole was Secretary of Transportation from 1983 to 1989 and Secretary of Labor from 1989 to 1991. So Bob Dole may reach the White House--as the first First Man!
