When Princess Diana first saw London's Chicken Shed Theatre Company perform in 1991, she was enchanted by 8-year-old Lissa Hermans' voice. That night Lissa, who is blind, sang I Am in Love with the World. Diana began to follow Lissa's progress and visit the theater, which includes many performers with disabilities.
Lissa, now 16, is proud to be part of Sony's new tribute album to the princess. She is the lead singer on an updated version of I Am in Love with the World. Diana "cared for people such a lot," she recalls. Lissa, who also plays piano and cello, is surprised at how her voice has changed since 1991: "It's grownup now."
