Pro-athlete behavior hit a new low last week. Latrell Sprewell of the Golden State Warriors choked coach P.J. Carlesimo at practice and threatened to kill him. The Warriors fired Sprewell, canceling his $32 million contract. "Some things are more important than winning or losing games," said general manager Garry St. Jean. The NBA gave Sprewell the longest-ever suspension: one year.
