Darth Vader's black mask is not a great work of art like the Mona Lisa. So what is it doing in a museum? Vader's seven-foot-high costume is part of a new Star Wars exhibit at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. The exhibit includes 200 props, models and characters from the three Star Wars movies. The recent re-release of the films in theaters has built a new generation of fans. Star Wars creator George Lucas wants the exhibit, like his movies, to arouse kids' interest in space. "One of the goals I had when I did Star Wars was to open up the imagination of young people to space," he said. "I hope the exhibit will inspire young people."
