This One's For Mom

For Florida Marlins pitcher Livan Hernández, October 26 was a special day. His team won the World Series in a thrilling 11th inning. He was named Most Valuable Player. Best of all, he got to share his joy with his mom. Hernández, 22, had not seen her since he left his native Cuba in 1995. Cuba and the U.S. don't get along, so his mom needed Cuban government permission to go to the game. "This trophy is hers," said Hernández.
