On March 12, Girl Scouting celebrated its 85th birthday. For 61 of those years, Girl Scouts have sold cookies to raise money. In the 1920s they baked their own sugar cookies. Today two baking companies produce more than 174 million boxes--and at least 16 varieties--of cookies for the Girl Scouts.
