What does a person do after spending more than half of his life working in government? That was the tough question facing Al Gore after he lost one of the closest presidential elections in American history.
Last week the former Vice President revealed some plans. He'll still be giving speeches, but they'll be in college classrooms. Gore, an ex-reporter, will teach journalism at Columbia University in New York City and community building at Fisk and Memphis State Universities in his home state of Tennessee. "I've always wanted to try teaching," says Gore. He will also write a book about families with his wife Tipper.
Will he run for office again? "The only decision I've made," he said, "is not to make a decision until I've had more time to reflect and rest."
