Dominique Moceanu, 14, of Texas, twisted and flipped her way to a silver medal at the World Gymnastics championship in Japan. She tied Lilia Podkopayeve of Ukraine for second place in the balance-beam event. China's Mo Huilan, 16, took the gold. Dominique won the only U.S. individual medal of the competition.
