At age 11, Simon Fair Timony has just released his second record album: Songs and Advice for Kids Who Have Been Left sings with his band, the Stinky Puffs. His mom plays the drums. Their next album will feature musicians from the rock group Nirvana.
"My favorite song on this album is I Know, I Know," says the long-haired sixth grader from New Jersey. "It's about how I felt when my stepdad left our family."
Simon also writes songs about candy, monsters, dreams, vitamins and love. "Kids should write about their feelings and write songs, if they can." And Simon says do this: "More kids should start bands."
