Tourists flock to Rio for its dazzling white beaches, jungle-covered mountains, festivals and museums. Its most famous landmark is Sugar Loaf Mountain, a 1,300 foot-tall cone-shaped rock that stands in Rio's harbor. Rio is also where a world-famous party known as Carnival takes place each year.
