The island of Maui is home to some of Hawaii's most famous attractions including Haleakala (Ha-lay-ah-ja-lah), Crater, the old whaling town of Lahaina and the road to Hana. The Haleakala Crater (pictured here) is the world's largest dormant, or inactive, volcano. Visitors drive or bicycle 36 miles through Haleakala National Park to its summit.
