Beira
Beira is the second largest city in Mozambique. It has an estimated population of 300,000. Located at the mouth of the Pungue River, Beira is Mozambique's most important port. It serves as the gateway to landlocked countries including Zimbabwe and Malawi. The Cathedral of Beira is the city's most impressive landmark. It is made of stones that were brought over from Portugal more than 500 years ago! (THOMAS COCKREM—ALAMY)
