Christchurch is the largest city in New Zealand's South Island. In the past, the city was centered on agriculture. Today it is a refined modern city. The beautiful Christ Church Cathedral (pictured to the left) can be found in the city's Cathedral Square. The Avon River winds through the city and is one of Christchurch's major attractions.
