ISLAMABAD
Islamabad is located in northern Pakistan. The city replaced Karachi as the country's capital in the 1960s. Islamabad is lush with green scenery, and its buildings are a fusion of modern and traditional designs. The Shah Faisal Masjid (pictured) is one example of this architectural blend. The mosque is the largest in the world. The main prayer hall can hold up to 10,000 worshippers. (FAROOQ NAEEM—AFP/GETTY IMAGES)
