San Juan
Boasting both skyscrapers and white sand beaches, San Juan is Puerto Rico's capital and largest city. It was founded in 1521 by Juan Ponce de Leon. It supports the busiest port in the Caribbean, known to have one of the largest and best natural harbors in the area. San Juan is also the country's financial capital, where clothing, tobacco, sugar refining, and petroleum thrive. (ROBERT FRERCK)
