Zanzibar
Zanzibar is an island rich in history and culture. It was once an important trading post for all of eastern Africa. The 637-square mile island lies 22 miles off the coast, in the Indian Ocean. Scientists think it was once connected to the mainland. Farming and fishing are big businesses on the island.
