It’s time to put your spider senses to the test. The Amazing Spider-Man video game for Nintendo DS picks up where the movie (The Amazing Spider-Man, Rated PG-13) left off, with (spoiler alert) Dr. Connors (“The Lizard”) locked up for his crimes against New York City residents. But after Spider-Man learns Oscorp Corporations is continuing Dr. Connors’ research with cross species—and infecting the city in the process—Spider-Man must free Dr. Connors so he can help put a stop to it.
The Nintendo DS version is the simplest of all the versions of this game (Note: Other versions of this game are available for Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3 and Nintendo 3DS. All are rated T for Teen). The DS game is a platform-style adventure, with challenges involving moving through areas around New York City, including the sewers and Dr. Connor’s lab. You’ll fight off bad guys using your combat skills and the game’s new Web Rush feature. As you climb walls and ceilings and use your web to trap specimen, you’ll become Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, fighting once again to save the city.
