What’s the basic story line?
This book is about Charlie Collier, a kid whose talent for solving mysteries makes him stand out from other kids his age. Charlie, who together with his friend Henry has a small business cracking cases for classmates, comes upon a hard case. Exotic birds are vanishing from local bird centers. After hard work, long investigations and multiple dead ends, the culprit is discovered. And it is someone no one would have guessed!
Are the characters believable?
In my opinion, the characters are very believable. The book follows the lives of kids who remind me of people I know. The book describes friendships, hardships and achievements that are true to life.

I would rate this book a 7. The characters are unique, and the fast-paced plot kept me turning the page.
