Imagine singing your heart out for an audience full of adoring fans. Picture yourself riding a tour bus across the country, visiting new places and meeting fans along the way. That is what Miranda Cosgrove, 17, recently experienced. She performed her very first concert tour, "Dancing Crazy."

Miranda has been in the spotlight since the age of 3, when she was discovered in a restaurant while dining with her parents. She has performed in several shows, but is best known for her role as Carly Shay on the Nickelodeon series iCarly. Now, Miranda has hit the road, allowing fans to see her in a new role as she makes 23 concert stops.

TFK Kid Reporter Lauren Dawn caught up with Miranda in Detroit, Michigan, during the first week of her concert tour. Cosgrove had fans "dancing crazy" to her upbeat songs throughout the concert and shared tour highlights with TFK.

TFK:

What have you enjoyed most about your first concert tour?

MIRANDA COSGROVE:

Just getting to be on the bus and travel around to all these different places. It's kind of like camp, getting to be with the band all the time. [I also enjoy] getting to be onstage and meeting all these people that watch the show that I never get to see.

TFK:

Do you get nervous when you are about to go onstage?

MIRANDA:

I am still in the beginning of it all. Every night, it gets more fun. I do get nervous before I go on. But once I am onstage, it kind of disappears, and I get really into it.

TFK:

Do you play any instruments?

MIRANDA:

I play guitar. I have been playing guitar since I was eight. I started taking lessons because I was on Drake and Josh, and Drake played guitar. I really wanted to learn how to play to show off in front of him. I started taking lessons, and he helped me all the time too.

TFK:

What is your favorite song to sing during your concert?

MIRANDA:

I like the song, "There Will Be Tears." It's a girl-power song. It's a fun one to do onstage.

Do you have any conflicts with doing the tour and trying to film iCarly?

MIRANDA:

It has been really nice. I have balanced it out so that right when I'm finished with the tour, I am going to do the next season of the show. It goes back and forth. Hopefully, I [will] get to go on tour again after this next season.

TFK:

Did you always want to be a singer and an actress?

MIRANDA:

To be honest, I didn't. I am from Los Angeles. When I was three, an agent just came up to my parents at a restaurant and asked if I wanted to go on auditions. My parents thought, "Why not let her give it a shot?" I went on a few auditions, and I really loved it. I couldn't see myself doing anything different now.

TFK:

When did you get your first big break in show business?

MIRANDA:

When I was 8, I auditioned for School of Rock with Jack Black, and I ended up getting to go to New York to film that.

TFK:

How do you like working with the other actors and actresses on iCarly?

MIRANDA:

I have known them for so long that I have grown up with them. I have known them since I was 13. I just feel like they're my family. Getting to have them around all the time has been really, really fun.

TFK:

What are you planning to do after the concert tour?

MIRANDA:

I am going back to do another season of the show. I just applied to college so I am waiting to see which ones I get into.
