What’s the basic story line?

Serafina, a mermaid who lives in the Mediterranean Sea, is haunted by strange dreams and shadows. On the day of Serafina's wedding to Prince Mahdi, she is poised to take over the underwater world of Miromara. Just as she is appointed ruler, a "death rider" wearing a black hooded cloak shoots a poisonous arrow into her mother's chest. Serafina and her best friend, Neela, embark on a journey to prevent a war between the Mer nations. After discovering that there is a greater evil threatening their world's existence, the two search for four other mermaids across the seas. Together, the six will combine their powers and strengths to defeat this evil.
