Every four years, Americans vote for President. On November 6, voters reelected President Barack Obama. After he was named the winner, Obama gave a speech. "We know in our hearts that for the United States of America, the best is yet to come," he said.
Minutes earlier, Republican candidate Mitt Romney had given a speech. He ran against Obama. Romney thanked people for their support. "But America chose a different leader," he said.
It was a close race. Romney received more than 57 million votes. But Obama got more than 60 million votes.
President Obama faces many challenges. More than 12 million Americans do not have jobs. President Obama promised he would help them. "Our top priority has to be jobs," he said.
