THE PROBLEM:

In the final chapter of J.K. Rowling's epic wizard tale, Harry and his pals go on the hunt for the last of Voldemort's Horcruxes. A Horcrux is a magical object used by a Dark wizard to store part of his soul. This allows the wizard to be immortal, or to live forever. Voldemort has split his soul into seven pieces and has hidden them in different Horcruxes. In order to defeat the Dark Lord for good, Harry must find and destroy all of them.

SCARY MONSTER:
Nagini, Voldemort's huge, venomous pet snake. The slithering reptile made her first appearance in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. She causes death and destruction at her master's command. The terrible snake may also be a Horcrux. Will Nagini finally be slain?

DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS TEACHER:
Neville Longbottom leads Dumbledore's Army (D.A.) while Harry, Hermione and Ron are away on their quest. The D.A. plays an important role in the Battle of Hogwarts by giving Harry time to locate the missing Horcruxes hidden inside the school.

NEW SPELL:
Taboo. It's a jinx that is placed on a word or name. Whenever the word is spoken, the caster of the spell is alerted to the location of the speaker.

MAGICAL OBJECT:
The Deathly Hallows: the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone and the Cloak of Invisibility. When united, the three magical objects will give the owner ultimate power. Voldemort is hunting for the Hallows.

WHAT HARRY LEARNS:
Harry learns some upsetting secrets about Dumbledore's past. One of them is that his former headmaster used to be good friends with the famous Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald. Harry also discovers which side—good or evil—Snape is truly on.
