Thursday, January 10, was a big day for Xiao Liwu. His name means "little gift" in Chinese. On that date, the six-month-old panda appeared in public for the first time, at the San Diego Zoo, in California. "He came out, was brave and explored," said Jennifer Becerra, the zoo's senior mammal-keeper.
