A youth hockey team raises money for Hurricane Sandy relief.

CHRISTOPHER JOHN  and his hockey team, the North Jersey Avalanche, were planning a special outdoor game against the Long Island Royals when Hurricane Sandy struck the area. The teams turned the game into a fund-raiser. CCM, a maker of hockey gear, matched donations. On December 23, the teams played in front of a cheering crowd in New York City's Central Park. What was the game highlight? "Winning!" Christopher, 8, told TFK. Even better, they raised $25,000 for storm relief.
