What’s the basic story line?
Dandelion is a young eagle whose parents are killed while fighting to save her life. The good-hearted Prince Fleydur finds Dandelion and takes her to the Castle of the Sky. Fleydur adopts Dandelion as his daughter, and she becomes a princess. But trouble lies ahead. When a precious Leasorn gemstone is stolen, Fleydur is accused of the theft. Dandelion and her band of courageous young eaglets must return justice to Sword Mountain by finding the real thief and freeing the innocent Prince Fleydur.
Are the characters believable?
Yes! Dandelion is a sweet character who comes from a humble background and is trying to fit in with the others in the Castle of the Sky. She is strong and brave. Fleydur is a kind and considerate prince. He does not judge the eagles according to their rank, and his attitude is contagious.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being best), how would you rate this book?
I would rate this book a 10. It is very fast-paced and filled with action. I couldn’t stop reading! Another reason I enjoyed it is that I understood Dandelion’s feelings. I believe different is not bad because everyone is a unique individual, and that is one of the most important lessons in this story.
