Americans chose a candidate at voting booths around the country on Election Day.

On November 6, Americans will go to the polls to vote for President. Two candidates want the top job.

One is Barack Obama. Elected President in 2008, Obama wants to lead the country for another four years. He is a Democrat. In September, the Democratic Party will officially nominate Obama for President at the Democratic National Convention, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mitt Romney also wants to be President. He is a Republican. His party meets in August, in Tampa, Florida, at the Republican National Convention. There, Romney is expected to be named his party’s presidential nominee.

Americans must be at least 18 to vote. But young people can still share their opinions. Make your choice in the TIME For Kids poll below.
